Overview
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 provided $350 billion to state and local governments across the United States in response to and and for the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Of Vermont’s $1.25 billion share, over $200 million, about $300 per Vermonter, was allocated to municipalities. Local legislative bodies have discretion over how to spend their ARPA funds, and the Isle La Motte Selectboard has formed an ARPA Advisory Committee to help guide the remaining appropriations, working together to develop a public input process for the approximately $80,000 in remaining funds.
