The Isle La Motte Volunteer Fire Company (IVFC) is an independent organization staffed solely by volunteers and supported in part with Town funds approved by the voters at each Annual Town Meeting. The fire station is located at 2241 Main Road. IVFC has a Marine Rescue Division with a rescue boat docked at Lakehurst Campground. Five members of the IVFC are trained in emergency medical care and respond to 911 medical calls. Ambulance service is through the Alburgh Volunteer Fire Department. IVFC is part of a mutual aid network with other towns in Grand Isle County plus several towns in New York and Canada.
Stay Safe As a reminder to everyone, new smoke detectors with ten-year batteries are now available in stores. Whatever type of smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector you have in your home, please be sure the batteries are fresh. Respectfully Submitted – Bill Johnson IV, Fire Chief
