FILING ANIMAL COMPLAINTS
Isle La Motte’s dog ordinance (click here to read) requires animals to be under the control of their owners at all times for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. Seasonal residents and visitors are expected to travel to Isle La Motte with current vaccination records should they be accompanied by their canine companions.
In the unfortunate event you have a complaint or incident to report regarding an animal at large or an animal bite, please submit your complaint to the Town Clerk or Selectboard Chair via email. This information will be sent to Isle La Motte’s Animal Control Officer by the Selectboard Chair.

● Person Reporting’s Name, phone, and email
● Description of the animal, including type and breed, if known
● Animal Owner, if known
● Animal Owner’s address, if known
● Location of incident
● Description of events, including date and time
PUBLIC NOTICE: 2024 Ordinance Regulating Dogs and Wolf-Hybrids
The Isle La Motte Local Selectboard has revised the ordinance pertaining to the regulation of dogs and wolf-hybrids which may be viewed by clicking this link or on the Documents for Public Review page of the website. The ordinance will be enforced beginning June 22nd, 2024 and any comments may be submitted to the Selectboard by emailing ilmvtselectboard@gmail.com.
