Calendar – Town of Isle La Motte, VT

Notice is hereby given to the residents of the municipality of Isle La Motte, Vermont that the Isle La Motte Planning Commission will hold a hearing on Monday, August 19th, 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Isle La Motte Town Clerks Office (42 School St. Ext, Isle La Motte) to consider for adoption the following Isle La Motte Municipal Plan pursuant to Chapter 117 of Title 24, Section 4387 and 4384, Vermont Statutes Annotated.

According to Title 24 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated, Municipal Plans must be amended and readopted every eight years or they will expire. This is the first Town Plan proposed for Isle La Motte. The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment on the adoption of the Isle La Motte Municipal Plan.

The Isle La Motte Municipal Plan includes 8 chapters and 1 appendix: Introduction, Historic, Cultural & Natural Resources, Land Use, Transportation, Housing, Economy, Utilities, Facilities & Services, Compatibility with Neighboring Towns and the Region, and Enhanced Energy Plan. A full text of the plan is on file in the Isle La Motte Town Clerks Office. The plan proposes goals and policies that impact the entire Municipality of Isle La Motte. This plan is intended to be consistent with the goals established in Title 24, Section 4302.
